Our tailgate lives at the intersection of 315 & Woody Hayes (roughly). Take a look at the map below for an approximate location. The red circle represents the area in which we usually set up.
Most importantly, our giant inflatable tube man (named Archie) provides an unmissable beacon, soaring majestically above our tailgate. He looks like this:
Getting To The Tailgate
Unless you’re planning on heading over super close to game time, Uber or a cab are going to be your best bet. Uber and cabs can be super slow the closer you get to game time and they’ll often get stuck in traffic on the way in. One way out of that would to be have the cab or Uber drop you off at Fisher Commons (picture on the map above) to then walk over, avoiding some of the gridlock.
If you want to park, the lot we park in is open to the public at 5 AM. For noon games, you’ll need to be there by 7:30/8 to get a spot usually (though give yourself room). For 3:30 games, 8/9 is usually good. For night games, you can probably still get a spot at 11.
If you want to park and not get there so early, there are lots on Kenny Road (the road the runs right next to Fisher Commons in the map above).
Or, better yet, have a trusty significant other or BFF drop you off nearby.
